ROOM 21
2000/oct/21-nov/24 open 7 nights/week 00:00 am to 06:00 am

in this time at the vucciria the last shops of the market were closing at 9 pm and the taverna azzurra was closing a half hour later. the market was open at 6 am in the morning. the night was empty and silent, some men around, no women, but dogs. the point why i rented for 2 mounths a small magazzino of the palazzo lo mazzarino at the piazza garraffello, the another point of good bad happy sad. i called it stanza 21. i sold 2 different drinks in a bad italian language. in front of me was an electronic organ, three chairs right and three chairs left for visitors. the most visitors were men, night workers, thieves, pimps, alcoholics and a few they can´t sleep. 6 objects inside i dedicated to 6 different women. they frequented the room in different times. mostly.

durex tropic tower

there´s nothing more i can´t explain better than this kind of magic moments in palermo, the off city. at the end good things are working like everywhere. in the last couple of months an anonym black sunglasses mister asked, asked and asked me what i can do on the worst palace covered since 2,5 years with true sicilian cement in the square of concrete and clay. impossible, because till one week ago my right arm was defect for a long time. who cares if the anonym mister loves his own city and he promised seriously that the technic money isn´t a problem. anyway the morning of the dicembre 3th was one of this days at the piazza garraffello where you have to be fast like in a videogame.

i went down to the bancomat, like every morning, and an italian group guided from a young man mauro filippo was waiting for me without appointment. behind me an other private group of men with black sunglasses on a crane installed the new LED christmas star, while i explained the italian group why i´m not a street artist and thats why some of them bought the palermo icons value papers to see within any pictures of mine for understanding why i´m not. not mine but the other pieces of street arts around in the low square even yes and for free. after i gave the cash which i earned from the value papers to the leader of the group with the black sunglasses. they took me from the LED star of christmas directly up to the worst palace to make a beautiful palace. 30 minutes for the beauty. when i looked down to the people in the square, i saw all of them were lookin´ up to me with black sunglasses. i saw the black sunglasses mister who smiled and i recognized the durex tropic tower reflection in the sunglasses of the group. the group of the new LED christmas star.

2013 palermo icona

i got the first kiss of costanza in the rain at the piazza garraffello under an apocalyptic palace, which collapsed 10 years later in the same mouth exactly. she said that in her whole life she was reading only 3 books, because she has too much to do. awesome, if i think today, that she produced with me 4 no isbn books, 4 dvds and 1 vinyl record in a correctly free economic way out from the supermarket religion and the italian politics art control of the friends from other friends and the daughers and the sons of the best friends. each product of them she touched before she sold at the bancomat between drugs, cocktails and beers, otherwise the only things what you can buy at this square. she is pure instinct and the most privileged woman ever, because she is able to move, to talk in absolutely all levels of the sociality always with the same face, the same smile. she is speed. she´s a dancer. she´s super sicilian.

but i tell, don´t make her angry. if you try to make her angry, you hurt yourself. thats all what you have to know about her.

that is my personal impression of modern art. italy is the most limited and boring place in the world of art contemporary and pop culture where ever i was. although not the piazza garraffello and not costanza lanza di scalea.

this mastercard is mine. king size and heavy metal. the house bank of this mastercard is my banca nazion from palermo. i created this pice in croacia, in a hotel room, basically in a bad banking atmosphere, dirty investments of the austrian hypo bank with the money from the austrian tax people. sad story, sad people. but i´m happy,´cause i have my own bancomatcard and its too big to use an austrian usual hypo bancomat to abuse. for the next week this pice of matercard is still in vienna. thats ok. hurry up mr weishäupl just low time to sell that shit, before this pice has to go back into my deposit.

con tutto il mio cuore riqualificato

santo eduardo di miceli
pino moscato

"you are german"

"no"
"but you are very different than we are, our kids too"
"who?"
"the germans kids"
"and i tell you that the german kids have 2 eyes, 1 nose, 1 mouth, hairs up on the top like the italian kids. girls and boys, same constellation"
"..but the education is different"
"just a question of the mother, signora isn´t it?"
"anyway we have to check the dimensions of the fountain again"
"oh again"
"yes thats our work"
"signora, how do you think? that makes sense?"
"i studied history, i know this fountain as well. we did the masterplan of the renovation for this fountain just 20 years ago. finally we have got the money from the EU"
"how much?"
"46.432,82 €"
"to take the old stones out from the fountain, which you´ve thrown inside after the last riqualificazione of the last pavement on this square of 2,4 mio € from the EU?"
"yes you are right"
"i advice that you should come after midnight again to check out the dimension of our old fountain"
"why?"
"reality"
"what does it mean?"
"it means that if you´ll come between 2am and 4am to check out the dimensions and you will get in touch by the contemporary history where this old fountain exactly is"
"we are not working in the night"
"but if you come at this time, maybe you can´t find the fountain, because its full of bottles from our lovely drunken kids, someone of them clash the bottles against the fountain, just for fun, you know."
"really?"
"reality"
"but they are uncivil kids. its a shame. they are not like my kids"
"i tell you that they´re your kids too. mostly they are from places at the city where you are living and they come with a smart and a mastercard of their parents. but its ok. all kids lose the control when they drunk too much. splinter of glass from the broken bottles in the fountain is a fantastic effect on heroin. otherwice on coke its much better you look up to the red cross and my name under the banca nazion, before you throw the bottle into the fountain. but hurry up, they old big stones here inside was your work and costs a lot of money. an expensive damage"
"now you see how different are our kids than yours"
"what?"
"we have arabian blood in our bloodline"
"what?"
"you have any ideas how we should do the renovation of this old fountain, i´m asking you curiously only?"
"make a cage for the fountain"
"a cage?"
"yes with a door for people they need the water"
"but this is very bad, a gage"
"why?"
"after we did the walls 2,5 years ago to close all the streets into this square. bad image too"
"perhaps a gage is good to safe the fountain for clashin´ bottles and for the next collapse of one of these palaces behind the fountain, do you see?"
"germans are so precisely"
"i´m austrian"
"but its the same"
"no"

after the leader vip woman and the vip group of the bene comune di palermo were gone away. they didn´t put the dimensions of the fountain anymore. maybe they were afraid of the dark eyes of my neighbours, they looked like how they look like when some staffers of the comune come to the piazza garraffello. i don´t care, this are sicilian intern stories.

bancomat

today i have seen the most beautiful picture at the piazza garraffello ever. i waked up after a blackout behind the bancomat in the center of the square. when i opened my eyes i saw a blue sky with softly clouds inside, the palazzo lo mazzarino, on it the banca nazion sign, the red cross and all the garraffello faces. they were looking with their big eyes into my yellow cold face. someone put with his fingers waterdrops from the fontaine on my face. others put my legs higher up the green chair. i´ve seen a symmetric personal frame with the last people they rested, the last neighborhood from the time when i started here. i saw a dramatic costanza in the middle of them. the ambulance came and took me to the hospital. the dramatic palermo city hospital. blood on the flour, blood on the roof, blood shines in your eyes. blood everywhere.

apocalyptic rider

the apocalyptic rider´s real name is piero. mr piero lost his job. he was a public line bus driver in the city of palermo. from that day on he wasn´t able to go home to his wife, because no money, no food, no love anymore. thats why he climbed up to the roof of one palace of the 4 canti and he cried in a megaphone for all the people in the city, that he wanted jump down. his wife and a lot of other sicilian women were running by quickly. they cried: stop piero, don´t jump! piero! piero! no! the firefighters up on the electric ladder ready to catched him, while mr piero cried to the firefighters: stop! don´t come too close to me! if you come, i´ve to jump into death! they answered: ok piero, we don´t come too close, but piero listen, don´t jump! the time was passing and suddenly the women started to cry: jump piero jump! but the firefighters cried against: no piero don´t jump! the melody how the women were crying, i put inside of my painting, the faces of rhythm from left to right, half-half-quater with echo-half-big-half-big-half-quater with echo-half-half and loop it. the angels up in the sky are two half-half stop and go chorus. mr piero was falling backwards into blackout. the only thing that the people saw, were his shoes on the roof. the firefighters put him on the roof and brought him down in the arms of his wife. his wife took him at home and i swear that the first thing what they did, was making love.

first point: it was a realy great pleasure to answer again new questions of max dax at his "galerie der gespraeche" yesterday night in berlin. the opener was actually my "decreto penale di condanna" from the city of palermo since 1,5 months. convicted of a criminal offence. meine verurteilung.

re:diamante foto ben the biel
i have to pay 7835,00 € till 15677,00 € or i´ve to go 60 days in jail plus 250,00 €, because 2,5 years ago i wrote "si vende" of our old fountain in the center of the piazza garraffello in palermo. anyway best story ever in my last 17 years in and out of the piazza garraffello and me. sure they want the money, but i´ve no idea what they wanna do with it. but its an international case, not an abuse easy cash case.

re:diamante foto max dax
second point: testament. this cute book gave me luci lux, the wife of max dax. and this document i made also yesterday in berlin for costanza lanza di scalea, my wife since 2004 and the person who knows all informations and documents about what i did and what i did not, the truth and the lies at the piazza garraffello. if i have misfortune for example like death, killed, accident, so than costanza has the authority about all my things what i did and did not at the piazza garraffello and in palermo since 1999.

re:diamante foto andreas spechtl
best point of all: the costanza book is documented and signed by max dax, signed by costanza and signed by me. after captain´s dinner, cena siciliana.
